Market intelligence informs planning and design for a vibrant café at the heart of commercial offices at One Melbourne Quarter

The Project

More than 500 Lendlease employees from three Melbourne offices found an oasis at the centre of their new, consolidated office space at One Melbourne Quarter, the integrated residential, retail and commercial neighbourhood on Collins Street.

Known as MQ One, the vibrant addition to Docklands was developed to include new Melbourne headquarters for Lendlease. With a company ethos focused on innovation, collaboration and respect, the collaborative work space includes a café and social hub which also facilitates catering to a range of meeting rooms.

Our Role

Investing in building social connection among their employees, clients, other tenants, and visitors was at the heart of planning for Lendlease’s new centralised offices in Melbourne’s Docklands. Planning for the design and management of a creative hub and social space within the tailor-made complex was informed by cross-organisation consultation.

Design and procurement planning was informed by a feasibility study based around an engaging service driven and coffee focused offer.

Contracting options and market planning informed the procurement strategy which supported Lendlease’s vision of a space that facilitated stronger relationships and a sense of wellbeing in the workplace.
